Safety Features

Shock sensing feature with adjustable sensibility control.
Audible/visible anti-theft alarm
Delayed illumination keeps interior lamps illuminated for 20 seconds after the doors have been closed, or until the ignition is turned on
Theater dimming dims interior lights progressively over 3-5 seconds
Exit lighting turns on interior lighting for 15 seconds when the ignition key is removed to assist driver and passenger in exiting the car.
Battery run-down load protection shuts down courtesy, reading, trunk, glove box, vanity mirror and map lights if they are left on for more than 20 minutes with the ignition off, to help prevent battery run-down.
Twilight sentinel allows the headlamps to remain lit for up to 3 minutes after the ignition has been turned off, lighting the way for the driver and passengers as they leave the car.
Retained accessory power allows power windows, radio and sunroof (if so equipped) to operate for 10 minutes after the ignition is turned off, or until a door is opened, for additional convenience.
Lockout protection prevents the vehicle doors from locking if the key is left in the ignition.
The Passlock Theft Deterrent System is designed to shut down the fuel injection system for 10 minutes if a would-be thief tries to "hot wire" the vehicle
Remote keyless entry system allows driver to lock/unlock doors and unlock trunk from up to 6m (20ft) away. The remote keyless entry system also incorporates the following convenience and security features:
Panic button on key fob-when pressed, the vehicle's lights flash and the horn sounds for up to 2 minutes in order to draw attention in the event of an emergency.
Activation chirp. If desired, the system will chirp to indicate that the system has been alarmed.

Four Wheel Drive System:
Autotrac-The Autotrac system provides an electric push-button controlled transfer case on 4X4 models. It offers the driver the choice of operating in an automatically controlled 4-wheel drive or the traditional 2HI, 4HI, Neutral and 4LO manual functions. It provides additional driver choice depending on personal preferences and road/driving conditions
